Who we are

NXTL is a conversational AI assistant provided by The Next Level AS (Hetlandsgata 9, 4344 Bryne, Norway, org. no. 933 671 48). Our customers embed NXTL on their own websites and apps.

Who is responsible for your data?

  • The website or app where you use NXTL (the Website Owner) is usually the data controller for your use of NXTL.
  • We mainly act as their data processor, and for some limited technical and security purposes we also act as an independent controller.

What data do we collect when you use NXTL?

When you use NXTL on a customer’s site, we may process:

  • The messages you send and the responses you receive
  • Technical and usage data such as page URL, referrer, browser type, language, timestamps and basic device info
  • A limited set of cookies/identifiers (for example nxtl_signal) to keep conversations coherent – see our Cookie Policy for details
  • Any extra metadata the Website Owner chooses to send (like internal user ID or role)

If you put personal information into your messages, that becomes part of the data we process.

How do we use this data?

We use the data to:

  • Provide the assistant and keep your conversation coherent
  • Help the Website Owner understand and improve how NXTL works on their site
  • Monitor, secure and troubleshoot the NXTL platform
  • Improve the quality and reliability of NXTL at a platform level

We do not sell your personal data and we do not use customer data to train global models across customers in a way that exposes one customer’s identifiable data or patterns to others. We want to be a counterweight to the misuse of user data.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies/identifiers, mainly nxtl_signal, to remember interactions from the same browser and improve stability and diagnostics. Whether and how that cookie is used can depend on the Website Owner’s cookie banner and your choices.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights such as access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, data portability and the right to withdraw consent.
